Julie Kampf, President

Since 2003, Julie Kampf has built her enterprise to include three entrepreneurial ventures based in Englewood, N.J.: the award-winning retained executive search firm JBK Associates, Inc., which focuses on senior-level positions; the staffing company SummitSearchUS; and the career consulting firm Career Central.

Julie launched her first company, JBK Associates, in 2003 to create a search firm that shows deep respect for clients, candidates and employees. Among many honors, the firm has been named one of Working Mother magazine’s 2008 Best Women-Owned Companies, named 2005 Best New Company by The American Business Awards, and certified as a women-owned business by the prestigious Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. Julie founded SummitSearchUS in 2007 to serve the staffing needs of organizations seeking middle-management talent. In recognition of her success, Julie was honored as a Best Entrepreneur by the 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Julie has launched Career Central in 2008 as a platform to help companies and candidates maximize talent through leadership development, leadership coaching, high-potential coaching and diversity training.

Julie’s many volunteer activities reflect her commitment to women and diversity. She serves on Howard University’s John H. Johnson School of Communications Board of Visitors, is a founding member of the Bergen County (NJ) chapter of Women United in Philanthropy, and is president-elect of the Metro chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She also is a member of the Cosmetic Executive Women and Fashion Group International, as well as a former member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) and of the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County, and raises money for charities including Guiding Eyes for the Blind and The Women’s Health and Counseling Center.

Julie earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, where she minored in Marketing. She lives in Bergen County, New Jersey, with her family.

Michael Lazar,
Associate

Michael Lazar uses an expertise in research management along with his search experience to help supply JBK Associates’ clients with top-notch candidates in various functional specialties including marketing, sales, finance, human resources and research & development, among others. He has served both agency and client-side business partners in the pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer products industries.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Philosophy and Political Thought from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and attended the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ. He currently resides in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Mary Ann Seamon,
Search Consultant

Mary Ann Seamon brings more than a dozen years of human resources expertise to her work, delivering exceptional talent to JBK Associates clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech and OTC industries.

Mary Ann’s human resources background combines both corporate and agency positions. On the corporate side, she has worked in the human resources departments of IBM and Pepsico, as well as a national computer retail chain. On the agency side, she handled both temporary and permanent placements for ASA Personnel Agency in New York City. This diverse experience has enhanced Mary Ann's hands-on approach to executive search and deep commitment to top-notch service. As a result, she has built strong long-term relationships with clients and candidates at JBK Associates.

Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both international business and marketing from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. She also earned a degree in fashion buying and merchandising management from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She resides in Atlanta.
