Julie Kampf, CEO & President

Julie Kampf is CEO, President and Founder of JBK Associates, Inc., a retained executive search firm that focuses on senior executive positions across multiple industries and disciplines with a specialty in life sciences and healthcare. Her industry and search experience spans almost three decades.

Julie launched JBK Associates, in 2003 to create a search firm that shows deep respect for clients and candidates, as well as her employees.  Among many honors, the firm has been named one of Working Mother Magazine’s 2008 Best Women-Owned Companies, named 2005 Best New Company by The American Business Awards, and certified as a women-owned business by the prestigious Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.  Julie founded SummitSearchUS in 2007 to serve the staffing needs of organizations seeking middle-management talent.   In recognition of her success, Julie has been honored as a Best Entrepreneur by the 2007 Stevie Awards for Women in Business and was recently recognized in 2009 as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the Life Sciences Industry by PharmaVOICE, and one of New Jersey’s Best 50 Women in Business.  Julie launched Career Central in 2008 as a platform to help companies and candidates maximize talent through various leadership and organizational development offerings including coaching, training, workshops and assessments.

Julie’s many volunteer activities reflect her commitment to women and diversity.  She serves on Howard University’s John H. Johnson School of Communications Board of Visitors, is a founding member of the Bergen County (NJ) chapter of Women United in Philanthropy, and is the immediate past-President of the Metro chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.  She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and BioNJ. In addition, she has served on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) and on the Girl Scout Council of Bergen County. In her spare time, she raises money for charities including Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Table To Table and The Women’s Health and Counseling Center.

Julie earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island, where she minored in Marketing. She lives in Bergen County, New Jersey, with her family.

Steve Prisco, Principal

As Principal at JBK Associates, Inc. Steve Prisco brings expertise in day-to-day management, business development and execution to a comprehensive role created in response to the company’s accelerated growth across all sectors. His specialties include sales and marketing management, training, business process improvement, leadership coaching and change management.

Prisco built deep and diverse industry knowledge spanning more than fifteen years in both executive search and management consulting, backed by nearly 20 years of sales and marketing leadership at the Senior Vice President level.

In the search arena, Prisco served most recently as Principal at DHR International. He previously held executive search Senior Consultant positions with both Gundersen Partners and Michael Marion & Associates, Inc., where he directed senior leadership talent acquisition across multiple industry sectors, to include Life Sciences, Consumer Products, Financial Services and Advertising Agencies. Previously, he served as Practice Leader for a mid-market consulting organization, leading their Sales and Marketing Practice and their Individual Behavioral Assessment Group.

Prisco’s tenure in sales and marketing spans 20 years, to include the cosmetics industry, where he held positions including SVP of Sales for Sanofi Beauty Products and EVP/General Manager for the start-up Tyra Cosmetics in Chatsworth, California. He also served as EVP of Sales & Marketing for the Headstrong Group, where he directed the worldwide marketing and sales strategies for this manufacturer of recreational safety helmets. In addition, as Senior Vice President of Sales at Neopost Online, he built the sales organization to spearhead the launch of a new hardware/software application within the emerging PC/Internet postage industry.

Prisco earned a Masters degree in Psychology from Alfred University. He is a passionate Lacrosse enthusiast who coaches at the township recreational level. He lives with his wife in East Brunswick, New Jersey.

Michael Lazar, Director

Michael Lazar manages the research and work flow process for JBK Associates from both an internal and external perspective. In addition, he works closely to build and manage relationships for the firm with numerous industry, diversity and corporate organizations.

Michael and the team provide JBK Associates’ clients with outstanding candidates in various functional specialties including marketing, sales, finance, human resources and research & development, among others. He has served both agency and client-side organizations in the life sciences, health care, energy, financial services, communications and consumer products industries.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Philosophy and Political Thought from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA and attended the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, NJ. He currently resides in Fair Lawn, New Jersey with his family.

Mary Ann Seamon, Director

Mary Ann Seamon brings more than a dozen years of human, resources expertise to her work, delivering exceptional talent to JBK Associates; clients in multiple industries and disciplines and with an emphasis in the life sciences and healthcare industries.

Mary Ann's human resources background combines both corporate and agency expertise. On the corporate side, she has worked in the human resources departments of IBM and Pepsico, as well as a national computer retail chain. On the agency side, she handled both temporary and permanent placements for ASA Personnel Agency in New York City. This diverse experience has enhanced Mary Ann, and her sourcing team’s, hands-on approach to executive search and deep commitment to top-tier service. As a result, she has built strong long-term relationships with clients and candidates at JBK Associates.

Mary Ann earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both international business and marketing from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. She also earned a degree in fashion buying and merchandising management from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She resides in Atlanta with her family.
