Brenda has more than two decades of experience in the retained executive search industry delivering results and placing top talent. She is laser-focused on meeting client’s hiring needs utilizing her strong business acumen and global strategic knowledge.

Brenda has conducted senior-level executive and C-Suite searches in management consulting, financial services, consumer products, pharmaceutical, biotech, and healthcare across a wide array of functional areas.   Additionally, she has  supported major industry leaders including McKinsey & Co., Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Levi’s, PVH, Novartis, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Elevance, ghSmart, and Creative Artists Agency. Brenda is an expert in full-cycle search execution, team build outs, succession planning, talent acquisition and people intelligence.

Having lived and worked in London, Germany, and Brazil, Brenda has conducted searches not only throughout the United States, but in Europe and Latin America as well. Her early career includes roles of increasing responsibility with the IBM Corporation, and her search firm experience includes senior roles with AL Associates, Skott Edwards Associates, and Ksquared Search.  She also ran her own independent search practice Mathews Consulting International for many years prior to joining the JBK Team.

Brenda currently lives in California.  She holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of International Management and a B.A. in Economics and German fro

m the University of Connecticut. She is an avid tennis and pickleball player, and loves the outdoors. She volunteers her time within the non-profit world, and is a strong supporter of the Arts.
